Lost Boats in February USS Shark (SS-174) was lost on 11-Feb-1942 with the loss of 59 crew when it was sunk East of Menado, Celebes

USS Amberjack (SS-219) was lost on 16-Feb-1943 with the loss of 72 crew when it was sunk off Rabaul; Last Contact at 5 05S; 152 37E
